In 2019 World Veterinary Day set for April 27
The WVA created World Veterinary Day in 2000 as an annual celebration of the veterinary profession, falling on the last Saturday of April.
For the first time in 2019, the World Veterinary Day in Armenia will be celebrated on the state level by the initiative of the Food Safety Inspectorate and mutual support of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in Armenia and Strategic Development Agency NGO in frames of “Livestock Development in Armenia South-North” project financed by the Austrian Development Agency, the operational unit of Austrian Development Cooperation and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.
Thematic events, seminars, lectures, discussions, and meetings were held in the regions of Armenia.
A conference titled "The Role of Science and Scientific Institutions in the Development of Veterinary Medicine" will be organized at the Armenian State Agrarian University on the 25th of April. The core event international conference on “Veterinary for Healthy Society” will be held on the 26th of April at Elite Plaza business center (address: 15 Movses Khorenatsi str., Yerevan, Armenia, from 10: 00 a.m.).
The conference aims to highlight the role of the veterinary and veterinary profession as a guarantee of a healthy society, to obtain information on veterinary and veterinary control issues, current programs, joint initiatives, innovations, and scientific researches, to exchange and localize best practices, to inform the public about the processes being implemented.
