Announcement of participation in the project "Modern Model of Livestock Farm Development under the guidance of women"

Strategic Development Agency NGO in frames of "Livestock Development in the South of Armenia" project invites you to participate in the subproject entitled "Modern Model of Livestock Farm Development under the guidance of women" from January of 2019 until June of 2020.

It is planned to include in the above mentioned subproject maximum 4 development projects, implementing in Syunik and Vayots Dzor regions, and relating to meat and milk production by involvement one participant from Yeghegnadzor, Vayk, Sisian and Goris regions).

Applications may be submitted by:

All those female farmers who:

• Involved in animal husbandry (participates in animal feed, care and control of ration),

• To be based in the settlement, where the appropriate infrastructures exist (artificial insemination service,     veterinary point, milk collection point or processing plant) is available,

• The farm has an average of 5 cattle, 3 of which are cows, with an average milk yield of at least 10 liters       per day,

• Sufficient conditions in the farm (lighting, ventilation, cleanliness). Assessment of storage conditions will       be carried out by Project Veterinarians,

• Willingness and ability to invest,

• The desire and ability to apply the latest innovations in your own farm,

• Willingness and ability to sell meat and milk produced on the farm (sale of milk to the processor or milk       procurement point as a result of the contract, sale of meat and animals in accordance with RA legislation),

• Willingness to participate in monitoring and shooting at least twice a month during the project                     implementation,

• Willingness to disseminate the experience gained through the subproject,

• Willingness and ability to fill in the forms required to evaluate the results of the subproject.
